Hi! My name is Lauralyn
Stress Relief Coach
Living with Dysautonomia, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Small Fiber Neuropathy and C-PTSD led to my deeper study and understanding of the nervous system and its impact on overall health and well-being.
I created the first therapeutic yoga program for wounded soldiers at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, serving Womack Hospital, MWR and the Warrior Transition Battalion. I was also a member of the U.S. Army Volunteer Corps. Prior to working for the military, I owned a wellness studio in Southern California where I provided life coaching, taught yoga and meditation classes and Reiki teacher training certification. I've taught and coached at wellness events in New York City (including a law firm), Los Angeles and Southern England. I've also taught in schools, and non-profits including The Boys and Girls Clubs Of America.
I’m certified in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mat Pilates, Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki and Cognitive Behavioral Coaching. I received additional specialized training in Yoga for PTSD, Kundalini Yoga, and several other techniques. I attended Marymount Manhattan College and State University of New York where I studied Communications, Political Science and Psychology. Before disability led me more seriously into wellness, I was a journalist, assistant editor and freelance writer.
