When I’ve been sick with an illness doctors considered “complicated,” lab tests seeking more answers led us thousands of dollars into medical debt. When people who haven’t been challenged with a chronic or catastrophic illness say, “don’t you have insurance?” The answer is yes. You clearly haven’t had the experience of deductibles, co-insurance and the reality of how insurance companies work in America. Lots of lab testing is expensive, with or without health insurance.

In addition to standard labs, I’ve also been tested by doctors who used applied kinesiology to detect underlying nutritional deficiencies, allergies and heavy metal toxicity. This method was limited. It would take hours and cost a fortune to ask one practitioner to test hundreds of things that could be affecting my health.

My new progressive M.D. wanted to know if there was anything in my environment, like specific plants or trees, as well as food sensitivities and heavy metals like mercury that may be contributing to my symptoms and high levels of inflammation in my body. He also wanted to know if I had any nutritional deficiencies that needed to be addressed to help strengthen my immune system.

When he sent me home with yet another test costing hundreds of dollars I said, enough. There has to be a better way. I researched, and I found one!

I discovered a lab service using the latest in bio-technology that was based in the U.K. Knowing how corrupt American health care is, I was interested in using a lab based in a country that has higher ethics and a more progressive attitude.

After being a holistic patient for nearly 20 years and working in the wellness industry for 15, I learned the cost of a test doesn’t reflect its accuracy. Especially here in America where health care costs are grossly inflated. You’re a customer, and you can shop around. You don’t have to always pay top dollar to get the answers you need.

I bought the advanced hair sample test for my husband and myself. We plucked a few strands of our hair and sent it to the lab to test 400 different food and 325 different non-food items to see which of those items might be causing an issue. Within 2-3 weeks, the results were emailed to me.

Thanks to this test, my husband discovered a copper deficiency was contributing to his chronic canker sores. Avoiding mustard, gluten and bell peppers, that showed up as sensitivities on his test, along with a simple, affordable copper supplement, completely cured the canker sore issue. Avoiding gluten also cleared up the tiny but widespread hives on his back.

This test helped me understand why I’ve had severe inflammation and asthma whenever I’ve lived in or near the woods (I have sensitivities to many grasses, fungi and trees). It also explained why I’ve felt unwell using any kind of hemp product, I’m sensitive to that, too. It picked up that I had too much mercury in my system, something Quest Diagnostics lab also detected in my blood. And it validated a severe sensitivity I have to brewer’s yeast as well as nutritional deficiencies that correlate with the genetic mutations I have such as MTHFR.

With our results we were also given guidance on what to do to improve our health. For example, I use this Super Green Algae for reducing mercury levels in my body based on this test’s guidance. When levels go down, I notice less fatigue and brain fog.

I’ve recommended this test to family, friends and clients over the years because I’ve been so grateful for the helpful insights. The company claims 99.5% customer satisfaction; I’m clearly not the only one grateful for the results.

It’s non-invasive with fast results (you’ll receive them in 21 days) and is incredibly cost effective at just $89 for one test, $156 per couple and $237 to test an entire family of four.
