We tested the #1 selling brand.
Integrated doctors understand the healing power of trace minerals. It’s often one of the staple supplements they recommend to restore/promote good health. Liquid minerals are recommended because liquid can be easier to absorb than capsules. Easier absorption means your body will receive more of the health benefits.
When our doctor recommended Trace Mineral Drops, we researched products to chose from. We decided to try Trace Minerals Research brand “ConcentTrace®” and bought it from Amazon.
Why this particular product? Because it had key factors we look for in supplements. No gluten. No fillers. No GMO’s. No allergens. No sweeteners.
The ingredients: 7 trace minerals and essential electrolytes, concentrated seawater from Utah’s inland sea. That’s it.
We use the PUR MineralClear filter on our tap, which is supposed to maintain a good amount of minerals, which it does at first. But within a week or two, the water’s natural mineral-rich good taste disappeared. We used a pH test and discovered the pH was dipping around the same time the taste was turning blah. The higher the pH of water, the more evidence of minerals like sodium, magnesium and potassium.
A side note about water filters. We bought the PUR filter in addition to ZeroWater because of the convenience filtering our tap. ZeroWater is pricier and limited to pitchers, but the most effective filter for removing contaminants like heavy metals. Neither filter provides trace minerals recommended by doctors, they remove toxins like lead and chemicals from water.
If you don’t like the taste of water, even when you choose filtered, chances are the water you’re drinking is lacking yummy trace minerals and electrolytes. The reason why electrolyte water has become so popular is because it’s tastes much better than tap or plain filtered water, and can help you feel better, too!
Trace Minerals Research ConcenTrace® Drops are the #1 selling trace mineral supplement in America. We were curious if it measured up to the hype. They say even eating a raw food diet isn’t enough to provide minerals we need because the soil food is grown in is deficient in these critical nutrients. Their unique harvesting process ensures you’re getting bioavailable ionic trace minerals that are found in foods.
We added 2-4 Trace Mineral Drops per glass and the result was as promised. It did taste identical to expensive mineral waters! But instead of stock piling all those plastic bottles to recycle, we now only have one 8 oz. bottle of trace minerals that lasts a long time before it’s used up. Economical and less waste. Perfect!
I have POTS Syndrome, a type of Dysautonomia. Staying hydrated with trace minerals helps me manage symptoms like hypotension, tachycardia and dizziness. Having the MTHFR gene also makes drinking plenty of water important because it helps a hindered immune system flush out toxins (check the raw DNA data on your ancestry tests or ask your doctor to order the lab to see if you are a carrier).
To ensure I drink enough water during the day, I fill up a 2 quart pitcher (I use Sistema) and add about 10-20 Mineral Drops to it. When traveling, we add a few drops to our S’well bottles. Be careful not to overdo the drops, the taste won’t be as good.
